Noodles with Lemon Chive Sauce

Let’s get nuts! Almonds, that is. With lemon peel and chives, you can whip up a distinct dish with unique flavor and only need a couple of ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups No Yolks® Broad Noodles
  • 2 Tbsps margarine
  • 2 Tbsps sliced almonds
  • 1 tsp grated lemon peel
  • 2 tsps lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives, minced

Directions

  1. Prepare noodles according to package directions.
  2. Melt margarine in small pot. Add almonds and cook for 1 minute over medium heat or until lightly browned. Stir in lemon peel, juice, salt and pepper. Simmer 1 minute. Stir in chives.
  3. Place cooking noodles in serving bowl. Pour lemon-chive sauce over noodles and toss gently but well. Serve immediately.
