Slow Cooker Spicy Asian Short Ribs and Noodles

This savory slow cooker meal comes together in minutes and features tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef short ribs in a flavorful marinade of beef broth, soy sauce, garlic, and fresh ginger.


2 cupsNo Yolks® Dumplings
1 lbboneless beef short ribs
1/4 cuplow sodium soy sauce
1 TbspFive-Spice powder
1 Tbspbrown sugar
1garlic clove, chopped
1 Tbspfresh ginger root, grated
1/2 tspred pepper flakes
1 can (14 oz)beef broth
1 cupcarrot, cut into 3/4-inch pieces
3 cupsNapa cabbage, roughly chopped


  1. Trim excess fat from short ribs.  Set aside.
  2. In a large slow cooker, combine soy sauce, Five-Spice powder, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, and broth.  Top with short ribs, carrots and cabbage.
  3. Cover and set on LOW to cook for 6 hours.
  4. When ready, stir in uncooked noodles and switch to HIGH setting.  Cook 15 minutes.
